With the protection relays of the Thytronic company the complete protection for capacitor banks or filter circuits can be realized.
The capacitor banks can have the following configuration:
- single star point grounded or not grounded (with voltage transformer),
- double star point, not grounded or
- bridge circuit
The capacitors can be designed with internal/external fuse or fuseless.
Relays of various designs are available. From the NC020 of the Pro-N smartline series for low-cost applications to the relays of the Pro-N and Pro-N Extended series for large systems for complete protection for capacitors and reactors. Depending on the model and version, the protection relays have the common communication protocols, such as Modbus, IEC60870; IEC61850 and DNP3.
